BREAKING: Max Air flight lost landing-gear, crash-lands in Kano

A Max Air Boeing 737 flight with the registration 5N-MBD from Lagos has crash landed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, News360 Nigeria reports.

The incident happened on Tuesday night at about 10:57 pm.

According to a passenger who spoke to our correspondents on condition of anonymity, the aircraft lost its nose landing gear tyre upon landing.

“Immediately after touchdown, the tye burst and caught fire.

The aircraft then skidded to a halt on the runway,” the passenger recounted.

Fortunately, all passengers were swiftly evacuated, and there were no reported injuries.
