BREAKING: Sen. Natasha tenders satirical apology letter to SP, Akpabio

The lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the Senate, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has stirred fresh controversy after posting a bold and satirical apology letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
It will be recalled that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended for six months following accusations that she refused to comply with the chamber’s sitting arrangement during a plenary session held on February 20.
The Senate leadership had hinted that tendering an apology might open the door for her early return to the chamber.
For months, tension has brewed between Akpoti-Uduaghan and the Senate President, with the senator previously alleging that Akpabio sexually harassed her and had since used his office to intimidate her after she rejected his alleged advances.
In a dramatic turn, Akpoti-Uduaghan shared a letter via her social media platforms on Friday, which she described as a “SATIRICAL APOLOGY LETTER.”
In the letter, she wrote, “It is with the deepest sarcasm and utmost theatrical regret that I tender this apology for the grievous crime of possessing dignity and self-respect in your most exalted presence.”
She continued by mocking the Senate leadership’s expectations, claiming her refusal to bow to “requests” was seemingly viewed as a constitutional offence against certain male entitlements.
The senator further criticized what she termed a preference for “quid pro quo” arrangements in the legislative arm, while sarcastically apologizing for choosing “competence over capitulation” and the people’s mandate over private dinners.
In one of the most scathing lines, Akpoti-Uduaghan wrote, “Please find it in your magnanimous heart, somewhere buried deep beneath layers of entitlement, to forgive this stubborn woman who mistakenly believed that her seat in the Senate was earned through elections, not erections.”
She signed off the letter declaring herself “Unafraid, Unbought, and Unbroken.”
The letter reads:
From the Desk of Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan
Dear Distinguished Senate President Godswill Akpabio,
It is with the deepest sarcasm and utmost theatrical regret that I tender this apology for the grievous crime of possessing dignity and self-respect in your most exalted presence. I have reflected extensively on my unforgivable failure to recognize that legislative success in certain quarters is apparently not earned through merit, but through the ancient art of compliance — of the very personal kind.
How remiss of me not to understand that my refusal to indulge your… “requests” was not merely a personal choice, but a constitutional violation of the unwritten laws of certain men’s entitlement. Truly, I must apologize for prioritizing competence over capitulation, vision over vanity, and the people’s mandate over private dinners behind closed doors.
I now realize the catastrophic consequences of my actions: legislation delayed, tempers flared, and the tragic bruising of egos so large they require their own postcodes. For this disruption to the natural order of “quid pro quo,” I bow my head in fictional shame.
Please find it in your magnanimous heart — somewhere buried deep beneath layers of entitlement — to forgive this stubborn woman who mistakenly believed that her seat in the Senate was earned through elections, not erections.
I remain,
Yours in eternal resistance,
Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan
Unafraid, Unbought, and Unbroken
