BREAKING: Sowore released after brief detention by Nigerian Immigration

Activist Omoyele Sowore has been released by Nigerian Immigration authorities following a brief detention.

News360 Nigeria had reported that the Department of State Services (DSS) had reportedly arrested renowned activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, following his return to Nigeria.

Fellow activist Deji Adeyanju confirmed Sowore’s arrest to News360 Nigeria on Sunday, sparking concerns over the detention of the vocal political figure.

The politician and advocate for the #RevolutionNow movement confirmed that his passport was returned to him after the incident.

Sowore, known for his continuous call for political reform in Nigeria, continues to face challenges from government agencies due to his outspoken stance on national issues.

He wrote on X.com;

“I have just been released by the Nigerian Immigration after a brief detention and my passport released back to me. #RevolutionNow”
