CAF Awards 2024: Final list of nominees for different categories unveiled

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the final list of nominees for the 2024 CAF Awards in various categories.

Among the contenders for the prestigious Men’s Player of the Year award is Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, whose stellar performances have earned him a spot on the shortlist.

Notably absent from the final list are Nigerian stars Victor Boniface and Luis Díaz, who failed to make the cut for this year’s nominations. However, it’s a positive development for Nigerian football as defender William Troost-Ekong made it onto the list, further showcasing the talent from Nigeria on the continental stage.

The CAF Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in African football, with several other categories recognizing the best in both men’s and women’s football.
