Copa del Rey: Endrick fires Real Madrid to first-leg victory over Real Sociedad

Real Madrid secured a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, thanks to a decisive goal from teenage sensation Endrick.
The young forward capitalized on a superb lofted pass from Jude Bellingham, controlling the ball expertly before slotting it past the goalkeeper to give Carlo Ancelotti’s side an early advantage.
Towards the end of the first half, play was briefly halted following discussions between the referee and Madrid captain Vinicius Jr. The stadium screen displayed an anti-racism and anti-xenophobia message, urging fans to support their teams with respect.
Madrid pushed for a second goal after the break, with Endrick rattling the crossbar with a powerful strike. Bellingham also tested goalkeeper Alex Remiro with a long-range effort, but Sociedad held firm to keep the deficit at just one goal.
Star forward Kylian Mbappe was absent due to discomfort following a dental procedure, while Thibaut Courtois and Federico Valverde were rested for the encounter.
With 20 Copa del Rey titles to their name, Real Madrid will aim to seal their place in the final when they host the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 1.
