A State High Court in Port Harcourt has issued an injunction against Tony Okocha and other members of the APC caretaker committee appointed by the party’s National Working Committee.

The court order prevents them from presenting themselves as the committee’s chairman and members in Rivers State.

Additionally, the court ruling bars them from taking any action or interfering with the APC State Executive, led by Emeka Beke, until the completion of their four-year tenure.

Justice Sika Aprioku, who presided over the case, declared that the appointment of Tony Okocha and six others as the State APC Chairman and Caretaker Committee members contravened the party’s constitution. He noted that there was no valid justification for their appointment. The judge also imposed a penalty of N300,000 on the defendants.
