BREAKING: Dangote Refinery crashes petrol price to N825 per litre

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N65 reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, lowering it from N890 to N825 per litre. The new price takes effect from February 27, 2025.

According to the refinery, the price cut is aimed at providing relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts by easing financial pressures on citizens.

This marks the second price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60 decrease at the beginning of the month. Similarly, in December 2024, the refinery slashed petrol prices by N70.50, reducing the cost from N970 to N899.50 per litre to provide relief during the yuletide season.

With the latest adjustment, Dangote petrol will now be available at the following prices across its partner retail outlets:

MRS Holdings stations:

Lagos – N860 per litre

South-West – N870 per litre

North – N880 per litre

South-South & South-East – N890 per litre

AP (Ardova Petroleum) & Heyden stations:

Lagos – N865 per litre

South-West – N875 per litre

North – N885 per litre

South-South & South-East – N895 per litre

The Dangote Group reassured Nigerians of a steady supply of petroleum products, stating that the refinery has enough reserves to meet domestic demand while also exporting surplus fuel to boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.

The company further called on marketers to support this initiative, ensuring that Nigerians benefit fully from the price reduction.
