Defence Headquarters unveils new list of wanted terrorist leaders
In a strategic move to combat terrorism in Nigeria’s North-East, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released a fresh list of wanted terrorist leaders.
Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, made the announcement during a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
The list features several high-profile figures accused of masterminding attacks and spreading insecurity across the region. Key names include Abu Khadijah, Abdurraman, Dadi Gumba (also known as Abbu Muhammel), Usman Kanin Shehu, Abu Yusuf, Musa Wa’a, Ibrahim Suyeka, Ba Sulhu, and Idris Takleksa.
The DHQ has urged the public to assist in identifying and reporting information about these suspects. Major General Buba highlighted the importance of local community involvement, noting that public cooperation could be crucial in the effort to eliminate terrorist threats.
This publication reinforces the government’s determination to enhance security and restore peace in insurgency-affected areas. Security forces are stepping up their operations to apprehend these individuals and dismantle the networks fueling violence and instability.
