Edo Queens boost team with new players ahead of CAF WCL qualifier

Edo Queens, the Nigerian women’s football champions has announced the signing of 14 new players, strengthening their squad as they prepare to take on the best teams in Africa.

Under the guidance of coach Moses Adukwu, Edo Queens have been hard at work in Uzuaire, Edo State, fine-tuning their skills and building a cohesive unit.

The new signings are expected to integrate seamlessly into the team, bringing fresh talent and expertise to the table as they will be part of the squad for the competition.

Edo Queens will face Omnisports Etincelle FC of Burkina Faso, Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies and AS Garde Nationale of Niger in Group B of the competition.

They will confront Etincelle in their opening fixture on Sunday, August 11, before taking on Hassacas Ladies in the second game three days later.

Edo Queens will face AS Garde in their last group game on Saturday, August 17.

Matches in the group will be played at the Champroux Stadium.

Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from August 10 to 23, 2024.
