EFCC apprehends Bobrisky Lagos Airport
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has once again taken controversial influencer Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, into custody at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.
The arrest, occurring just days after his release on bail, unfolded dramatically on Thursday evening as Bobrisky prepared to board a flight to London.
According to eyewitnesses, Nigerian authorities delayed the aircraft before takeoff to escort the popular crossdresser off the plane, a scene that reportedly unfolded in view of other passengers.
Shortly after, Bobrisky took to Instagram, posting an appeal, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.”
This incident follows an earlier detention by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border, where authorities claimed Bobrisky was attempting to flee the country.
The social media star’s ongoing legal battles are linked to a leaked audio clip in which he allegedly claimed that high-level connections allowed him to serve a jail sentence outside Kirikiri prison.
As developments continue, many Nigerians are closely watching how this high-profile case unfolds.
