EFCC nab four Chinese, 104 Nigerians for internet fraud in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended four Chinese nationals and 104 Nigerians in a business apartment in the Gudu area of Abuja over allegations of internet fraud.  

The arrests, which took place on Thursday, were part of the EFCC’s ongoing crackdown on cybercrime and corruption across the country.

In a statement, the Head of Media and Publicity of the commission, Mr. Dele Oyewale, emphasized the agency’s commitment to ridding the nation of internet fraud and other corrupt practices.

The statement reads: “The suspects, comprising 67 male( including four Chinese) and 38 female were allegedly involved in hotel review job scam targeting victims and hotels in Europe and other parts of the world

“The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.”
