EFCC withdraws arrest warrant for Mercy Chinwo’s ex-manager

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the arrest warrant previously issued for Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod, the former manager of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.  

The dispute between Chinwo and Onyedikachukwu arose from accusations of financial mismanagement.

Chinwo alleged that her former manager misappropriated $345,000, leading to a Federal High Court in Lagos issuing an arrest warrant against him.

The EFCC had filed a motion claiming that Onyedikachukwu misused funds and failed to remit royalties from Chinwo’s digital music sales and event revenues.

However, on Friday, the commission requested to cancel the arrest warrant after a request from their lawyer, Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari.
