#EndBadGovernance protesters storm Wike’s private residence in Rivers
The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests have storm the residence of former Governor Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.
Wike, who currently serves as the Federal Capital Territory Minister, had previously opposed the demonstrations in Abuja.
While the protests have lessened in the FCT, they are gaining momentum in Wike’s home state of Rivers.
Demonstrators gathered outside Wike’s mansion in the state capital as the protests continued into their sixth day.
In response to the growing crowd, the Nigerian Police Force has deployed additional personnel to the area to maintain order and ensure safety.
The protests initially targeted the Government House, where demonstrators publicly confronted Governor Sim Fubara, rejecting his offer of money for ‘pure water.’
