EPL: Chelsea’s Palmer overtakes Haaland as top goal scorer

Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer has emerged as the Premier League’s most influential player in front of goal since the start of last season, amassing an impressive 44 goal involvements.

As of October 7, Palmer’s 28 goals and 16 assists place him ahead of Manchester City’s prolific striker Erling Haaland, who has recorded 42 goal involvements (37 goals, 5 assists).

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins follows with 38 goal contributions (23 goals, 15 assists), while Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is close behind with 36 (22 goals, 14 assists).

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, known for his consistency, has contributed to 34 goals (18 goals, 16 assists). Tottenham’s Son Heung-min adds to the elite list with 31 goal involvements (19 goals, 12 assists).

Other standout performers include Manchester City’s Phil Foden (27 goal involvements), West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen (26), and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson (26).

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Dominic Solanke, who plays for both Bournemouth and Tottenham, each registered 25 contributions, sharing the tally with Arsenal’s Kai Havertz.

Palmer’s impact, particularly in a league filled with established stars, continues to strengthen his growing reputation as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents.
