Falconets set to face Germany in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup clash

Nigeria’s Under-20 Women’s football team, the Falconets, are gearing up for a crucial showdown against Germany tonight in their second match of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Falconets kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Korea Republic at Estadio El Techo in Bogota, Colombia, on Sunday night.

After the win, Falconets’ head coach expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform even better against Germany.

This will be the fifth meeting between the two nations in the tournament, with Nigeria still seeking their first victory against Germany, following losses in the finals of 2010 and 2014.

Nigeria are in second position in Group D with three points and plus one goal difference.

They are behind leaders Germany, who currently top the group with three points and plus three goals difference after beating Venezuela 5-2 in their first game on Sunday.

While South Korea and Venezuela are in third and fourth positions with no point.

Nigeria’s match with Germany will take place at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo, Bogota.at 11 pm Nigerian time
