The Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD), Katsina State, has announced internal and external vacancies for academic staff in various positions.

The institution, established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, specializes in transportation studies and aims to promote excellence in teaching, innovation, and research.

Faculty of Transportation Management

Department of Logistics and Maritime Economics (B.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management, B.Sc. Marine Logistics)

Department of Aviation and Railway Management (B.Sc. Aviation Management, B.Sc. Railway Management)

Department of Transport and Ports Management (B.Sc. Transport Management, B.Sc. Port Management)

Department of Waterways Safety and Environmental Administration (B.Sc. Waterways Safety and Environmental Administration)

General Requirements

Professor: Ph.D. with at least ten years of academic experience, a strong research portfolio, and publications in reputable journals.

Associate Professor: Ph.D. with at least eight years of academic experience and a notable research record.

Senior Lecturer: Ph.D. with at least five years of teaching experience and significant scholarly contributions.

Lecturer I: Ph.D. or equivalent qualification with at least three years of academic or research experience.

Critical Areas of Expertise

FUTD seeks experts in specialized areas such as railway engineering, transport systems, intelligent transport technology, big data analytics for transportation, sustainable transport policy, and renewable energy solutions for transport, among others.
