FG declares Monday, 16th September as Public Holiday
The Federal Government has declared Monday, 16th September 2024, as a public holiday in observance of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, via a statement released by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary.
In his message, Tunji-Ojo extended his congratulations to the Muslim Ummah, both in Nigeria and abroad, urging them to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience.
He also encouraged Nigerians to take this opportunity to pray for lasting peace and progress in the country.
