Fire razes popular Holiday Inn hotel in Abuja

A major fire outbreak has engulfed Focus Holiday Inn, a prominent hotel in the Garki area of Abuja, causing chaos and panic among guests and staff.  

The blaze reportedly started in one section of the three-story building before rapidly spreading.

The alarm was raised by a guest who, in a state of distress, rushed to the reception, reportedly unclad, to alert hotel staff about the fire.

Established in 2022, Focus Holiday Inn promotes itself as an upscale and luxurious retreat in Nigeria’s capital city.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no casualties have been reported. Efforts to contact representatives of the hotel, fire service, and police for further information were unsuccessful.
