The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, following the passing of his wife, Patience Umo Eno.

During her visit to the Governor’s Lodge in Uyo, the First Lady described the late Mrs. Eno as a peaceful and God-fearing woman who deeply cared for her people.

Reflecting on her personal connection with the deceased, Senator Tinubu shared that she was honored to have met Mrs. Eno, noting that she served her people with dedication and completed her life’s journey with grace.

“Politics aside, we are all Nigerians, and I am thankful to God for the opportunity to meet such a loving and caring person.

Despite her short time in life, she finished her course. God will comfort you, her husband, and children.

I will always be here for you,” she said in an emotional statement released by her media aide, Busola Kukoyi.

Following her tribute, a condolence register was signed in honor of the late Mrs. Eno, and special prayers were offered for her soul and for strength and comfort for her family during this difficult time.

Governor Umo Eno, while expressing his gratitude to the First Lady for her support, spoke of his late wife as his greatest partner in life.

He promised to keep her legacy alive and continue the work she had championed through the First Lady’s office in the state.

Joining Senator Oluremi Tinubu on the visit were the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, as well as the wives of National Assembly leaders and governors’ wives, all of whom shared in the grief and offered their prayers for the family.
