Gov Alia appoints Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as new Benue SSG

Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Benue State, following the resignation of the former SSG, Prof. Joseph Alakali.

Prof. Alakali stepped down from his position, citing the need to address personal challenges.

Governor Alia, while accepting the resignation, expressed gratitude for Alakali’s one year and three months of service and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The newly appointed SSG, Barr. Aber, is a seasoned solicitor and arbitrator with a track record of excellence and strong analytical skills.

A graduate of the University of Jos and Nasarawa State University, she brings valuable experience to her new role.

Governor Alia is confident that Barr. Aber will significantly contribute to the success of his administration and urged her to prioritize the state’s interests in her daily functions.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
