Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has dismissed the Commissioner for Information, Ifeanyi Osuoza, citing alleged poor performance. The decision takes immediate effect.

According to government sources, Charles Aniagwu, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), has been directed to oversee the Ministry of Information temporarily. Aniagwu is expected to assume this dual role starting Monday.

The dismissal reportedly follows a series of complaints about Osuoza’s performance during his brief tenure.

Dr. Fred Latimo Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, confirmed the development in Asaba. He stated, “The former Commissioner for Information, Ifeanyi Osuoza, has already been briefed on the situation.”

While an official announcement from Governor Oborevwori is still pending, Oghenesivbe revealed that Aniagwu will manage both the Works and Information ministries in the interim.

Aniagwu, a seasoned government official, previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information under former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration before his current role as Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads).
