Gov Okpebholo swears in six new commissioners in Edo

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in six commissioners into the State Executive Council, assigning them their respective portfolios.

This development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., and shared with journalists on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the newly sworn-in commissioners and their portfolios are:

Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu – Ministry of Information and Communications

Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo – Ministry of Water Resources and Energy

Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu – Ministry of Education

Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs

Mr. Andrew Ijegbai – Ministry of Mining

Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi – Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development

The statement further directed that “all commissioners are expected to resume at their various ministries with immediate effect.”
