Governors, politicians, business magnates that attended Saraki’s mother funeral
High-profile figures, including Africa’s wealthiest individual Aliko Dangote and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, converged in Lagos to honor the late matriarch of the Saraki family as former Senate President Bukola Saraki laid his mother to rest on Friday.
The esteemed lady, who passed away at the age of 88 on June 18, 2024, was bid farewell at a solemn funeral service held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina.
The commemoration continued with a reception hosted at Eko Hotels and Suites, marking a gathering of dignitaries to pay their final respects to a figure revered within the Saraki dynasty.
Among the governors present were Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Caleb Muftwang (Plateau), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), and Ademola Adeleke (Osun). Also in attendance were Peter Mbah (Enugu), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Duoye Diri (Bayelsa).
The event saw a mix of top politicians, industry leaders, business magnates, and other distinguished guests.
