Gunmen kill private health worker in Ondo

Suspected bandits have shot and killed a private health worker, Akinola Oyabiyi, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The 46-year-old father of four was attacked around 8 pm on Tuesday in Oba-Ile, near Akure Airport, while driving home. According to a family source, the gunmen shot him before he could attempt to escape from his vehicle.
Residents of the area are now in fear, especially as this incident follows the recent abduction of four students from the Federal College of Agriculture in the same axis.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the killing and stated that investigations are ongoing to track down the perpetrators.
