Renowned Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared her ambition to establish an empire that will solidify her legacy among the world’s most successful self-made women.

In a recent interview with Forbes, the 45-year-old artist disclosed that this vision has been a lifelong dream, dating back to her teenage years.

Recounting her teenage days during school time, Tiwa said;

“When I was in school, there were basic subjects like math, English, and there were also electives like sports, drama, music – I chose drama and just even from earlier on, I knew that I had a gift for acting. Even when I started my music career, I knew, at some point, I was going to go back into that field,” she recalls to FORBES AFRICA via a Zoom call.

“Growing up in Nigeria, then moving to the United Kingdom and studying jazz in America, I absorbed different musical influences,” she explains.

“I can do a jazz record, a garage song, or an Afrobeats track, and it all feels authentic. I have lived these experiences.”

“I want to go into my mogul era”, she said with conviction.

According to Tiwa Savage, she has a lot of plans, which include building a school or scholarship program that teaches music to upcoming artists.
