I regret campaigning for Tinubu, APC chieftain cries out
A Kano-based politician and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) member, Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki Commander, has expressed deep regret for supporting and campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
Speaking in a phone interview with Journalists, Commander said that, based on the realities Nigerians are facing, the Tinubu-led administration has failed to meet expectations.
He admitted that he had never regretted any decision in his life as much as he regrets campaigning for Tinubu.
“It pains me, but it is the truth, and the truth must be told. I am an active member of the APC, but I must admit that Nigeria’s administration under the APC has failed Nigerians. As someone who dedicated his time and resources to convincing people to vote for the party, I now regret my action,” he said.
Commander further stated that as a man of the people, he feels the need to apologize to Nigerians, as the promises he made to them about the APC-led government have not been fulfilled.
He lamented the current hardship, insecurity, and economic struggles faced by citizens, saying, “Nigerians are hungry and angry. Their security is not guaranteed, and governance is lopsided. They can’t even afford two square meals per day.”
