In a fiery address, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, has issued a stern warning to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors who are siding with Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the ongoing political rift within the party in Rivers State.

During a speech at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Wike declared that he would not allow any PDP governor to interfere with the party’s structure in Rivers State. In a direct and provocative statement, Wike warned, “I’ll put fire in your states” if any governor attempts to meddle in Rivers politics.

This statement comes on the heels of a recent meeting of PDP governors in Taraba State, where they expressed support for Governor Fubara and called for a review of the party congress outcome in Rivers State to restore Fubara’s leadership role.

Wike, known for his outspoken and combative political style, made it clear that he would fiercely protect his influence in Rivers State and would not tolerate any external interference from other PDP leaders.

The video of Wike’s remarks has sparked widespread reactions, with many questioning the potential implications of his threats on the party’s unity and the political landscape in Rivers State.
