JUST-IN: NABTEB releases 2024 NBC/NTC exam results
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2024 In-School National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) exams.
The announcement was made on Thursday at the NABTEB Headquarters in Benin by the Acting Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nnasia Asanga.
Dr. Asanga revealed that a total of 67,751 candidates were registered across 1,708 centers nationwide, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for the June/July examinations.
The candidates were enrolled in various fields, including 16 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 9 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades, and 16 General Education Subjects.
Out of the registered candidates, 67,340 sat for the exams, representing 99.39% of the total enrollment. Of these, 44,000 candidates about 65.34% achieved 5 credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
Additionally, 62,235 candidates, or 92.42%, obtained 5 credits or more with or without English and Mathematics.
Highlighting the progress made, Asanga noted that 68.64% of candidates are now certified craftsmen, a significant increase from the 51.93% certified in 2023. He also expressed confidence that the timely release of the results will facilitate candidates’ admission into higher institutions.
