JUST IN: NFF appoints Aliyu Zubairu as Flying Eagles head coach

The Nigeria Football Federation’s Executive Committee has officially endorsed the recommendation made by its Technical and Development Sub-Committee, appointing Aliyu Zubairu as the new Head Coach of the National U20 Boys, popularly known as the Flying Eagles.

Zubairu, who recently guided El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to victory in the President Federation Cup against Abia Warriors FC in Lagos this June, will assume his new role immediately.

Mr Zubairu’s immediate task is to put together and prepare a team for the WAFU B U20 Championship, scheduled for October/November in Togo, where the zone’s representative will emerge for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
