Katsina LG Polls: APC Chairmanship candidate chased away by angry residents during campaign visit

Bello Lawal Yandaki, the APC chairmanship candidate for Kaita Local Government in the upcoming February 15 LG elections in Katsina State, was reportedly chased away by angry residents during his campaign visit to Yanhoho ward on Friday.

Yandaki, who is also the National President of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and seeking re-election, allegedly faced backlash from residents over unfulfilled promises from his first tenure.

According to reports, upon hearing of his arrival, residents stormed the campaign ground, chanting protest songs, wielding sticks, and throwing stones at him and his team, forcing them to flee the area.
