Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced the signing of Georgian striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Italian league leaders Napoli for an undisclosed fee.

The move makes Kvaratskhelia the first Georgian player in the French champions’ history.

In a statement on Friday, PSG revealed the 23-year-old will don the iconic number seven jersey.

Kvaratskhelia, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s 2023 Scudetto victory, bid an emotional farewell to the Italian club on social media just a day before the transfer. “It’s hard for me, but it’s time to say goodbye,” he wrote.

The winger joined Napoli in 2022 from Dinamo Batumi and quickly established himself as a standout player, earning the Serie A Player of the Season award in his debut campaign.

During his time with Napoli, he amassed an impressive 30 goals and 29 assists across 107 appearances in all competitions.
