The governor lauded the Nigerian Army for its swift intervention, assuring residents of his administration’s unwavering support for all lawful efforts to restore peace and security.

“I also appeal to our people to remain calm, cooperate with security agencies, and continue to provide credible information that can aid their operations. Together, we will overcome these challenges and usher in a new era of peace and security,” Alia added.

Meanwhile, violent attacks by armed herders have continued in the state, claiming dozens of lives in recent days. At least 33 persons were feared dead in separate attacks on Gwer West and Apa Local Government Areas between Sunday and Monday.

Similarly, 16 persons were killed in Edikwu and Ankpali communities in neighboring Apa Local Government Area.
