Nigerian music star Daniel Anidugbe, widely known as Kizz Daniel, has announced a surprising break from releasing new music, starting after the release of his forthcoming EP, Uncle K.

The highly anticipated project is set to drop on November 29, 2024.

In a post on his X account on Friday, the Woju crooner shared, “After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026.”

The revelation sparked mixed reactions among fans, who expressed both disappointment at his planned hiatus and excitement for his new project.

Kizz Daniel, who burst into the limelight in 2016 with his hit single Woju, has solidified his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most prolific artists.

Amid the announcement, the singer also shared a deeply personal moment, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer, adding an emotional layer to the news of his upcoming sabbatical.

He appealed to his fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her honour.

“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
