Though she was born in Kaduna State on April 6th, 1991, Sharon is a native of Idoma tribe in Benue State, Nigeria.
She has three sisters and completed her elementary schooling at Jos’ Kings and Queens School.
She completed her secondary education at Regina Pacis Secondary School, Garki II, Abuja, and St. Louis Girls’ College, Jos, both of which were boarding schools.
Sharon earned a degree in Mass Communication from Houdegbe North American University in Benin.
Career
In 2013, she started her acting career after moving to Lagos.
She talked about her acting career in an interview with the Nigerian tabloid, Punch.
According to Sharon, everything began while she was participating in a store photo shoot and NdaniTV was recording the behind-the-scenes footage.
She received an invitation the following week to appear in an unfilmed television program, but it was canceled.
Shortly afterward, she was invited to play a small role in the television series Gidi Up.
Sharon also played Shalewa in the film Skinny Girl in Transit.
Her portrayal of the young, fashionable Shalewa won her a lot of accolades and recognitions both on and off screen.
Since then, Sharon Ooja has starred in several Nollywood films and TV shows.
She co-hosted the 2017 GT Bank Fashion Week red carpet with Timini Egbuson.
She was named the Nollywood actress to watch by 2024 and the top female celebrity for 2020.
In the South African version of “The Bridgerton Affair,” Netflix selected Sharon Ooja along with several other candidates to represent Nigeria.
Unfortunately, she became ill while Glamour Girls was being remade.
