Like Zion Ministry, bring back your investments to Igboland before you regret it, says IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has reassured investors of the safety and potential of the South-East region, also known as Alaigbo, urging Igbo businessmen and women to relocate their investments to the area.
In a statement released on Tuesday by the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, IPOB emphasized that the South-East is a secure and expansive region capable of accommodating various business ventures. The statement comes amid complaints from Igbo businesspeople in Lagos and other states about unfavorable government policies and hostile attitudes from host communities that have impacted their businesses.
IPOB commended Evangelist Ebuka Obi, the founder of Zion Ministry, for holding the 100-day fasting and prayer convention in Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State, viewing it as an encouraging example of bringing investment back to Alaigbo.

“The Noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu commends the proactive decision by the Founder of Zion Ministry, Evangelist Ebuka Obi in relocating his Zion Ministry’s headquarters to Alaigbo. His action at this critical time is a welcome development and a demonstration of his love and commitment to the development of his fatherland. Other Igbo business men and women are advised to join in bringing back their investments, industries, and properties back home. If you fail to follow suit now, you may regret it later.
“We thank those who contributed immensely in different ways for the Zion Ministry to return home. We commend Evang Ebuka Obi for his courageous move in relocating his ministry to Alaigbo and diverting the traffic that was hitherto channeled to Lagos to the East during the 100 days annual closing convention in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State.
“We pray that Chukwu Okike Abiama will help his ministry to establish firm root in Igboland. Similarly, we thank the people of Ngor Okpala, especially the people of Amala, Ntu, Eziama, the three communities that own the land where the Zion ministry is situated for releasing their land for the project. Therefore, we are using this medium to call on ALL Ndigbo to follow suit. We call on Ndigbo to prepare and relocate their industries, companies, Ministries, investments, businesses, and properties back home. There is an Igbo adage that says, “aku ruo ulo, akota onye kpara ya.” Alaigbo is big and safe to accommodate everyone. We have the responsibility to build up our region and make Alaigbo an investment destination and economic hub in Africa.
“IPOB has been preaching and urging our people to bring their investments and businesses home. Evangelist Ebuka Obi and his ministry have made a bold move, and others should follow. We expect other Igbo owned businesses, industries, ministries, and companies to relocate in parts or completely their investments to Alaigbo. We have sufficient land to accommodate all investments. We equally salute all businesses, industries, investment, ministries, companies existing in the South East that have provided jobs for our people such businesses like Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Ibeto groups, Masters Energy Ltd, Coscheris Farms, Geometric Power plant, Chikason industry, and so on. We commend our courageous farmers in the Southeast, Onitsha traders, Owerri traders, Enugu traders, Aba traders, Nnewi traders, Asaba traders, Igweocha traders, Ebonyi traders, both big and small. Your commitment to the economic wellbeing in the southeast is the reason our region is still viable and buoyant.
“IPOB is urging the Ngor Okpala youths to join hands to make Ngor Okpala LGA a crime free zone. The Traditional Rulers and Leaders in Ngor Okpala should all put hands on deck and create a crime free environment in the community which will in turn attract other businesses that will invariably create job opportunities for the youths of Ngor okpala and its environs. We encourage Ndigbo home and abroad to summon courage and return their investment home, where it will be safe and secure for generations to come as we work towards restoring a Biafra Nation that will protect our investment. Biafra land is a chosen land of Chukwu Okike Abiama, which will manifest his children’s innovative and creative capabilities. We all have responsibilities to bring out the greatness in our land by bringing our investments home.
As IPOB encourage Ndigbo to return their investments, the ESN Operatives have the mandate to maintain safety and security in Alaigbo”.
