Man City midfielder Matheus Nunes arrested over alleged mobile phone theft
Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has reportedly been arrested in Madrid on allegations of stealing a mobile phone at a nightclub.
The 26-year-old Portuguese international was taken into custody in the early hours of September 8 at La Riviera, a well-known disco, as reported by Dailymail.
Spanish media outlet El Mundo further revealed that the incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. after Nunes was accused of snatching a phone from a 58-year-old man who had attempted to take his photograph in the nightclub’s restroom without his consent.
Born in Brazil, Nunes allegedly grabbed the phone in a fit of anger and refused to return it.
The local police were called to the scene, and upon discovering the phone in his possession, Nunes was subsequently detained for questioning at a nearby station.
