Man dies after being struck by lightning in Kogi

A tragic incident occurred in Angwa Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, as a 70-year-old man, identified as Malam Abu Yusuf, lost his life after being struck by lightning.

The unfortunate event took place around 5:40 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, following a heavy downpour in the community.

Malam Yusuf, who was outside when the lightning struck, fell and died instantly at the scene. His burial has been scheduled for Friday morning in line with Islamic rites.
