Man United’s Luke Shaw suffers new injury blow
Manchester United’s left-back Luke Shaw has encountered yet another injury setback, just weeks after his return to competitive action.
The England international, who has battled injuries throughout the year, sustained a fresh issue during training, according to reports from British media.
This latest development could potentially keep him sidelined for several weeks.
The 29-year-old defender missed the start of the season due to a calf injury and took to social media on Tuesday to express his disappointment, describing it as a “small setback.”
“I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs, but this has definitely been my toughest period,” Shaw wrote. “I’m absolutely devastated, and it’s extremely tough to come to terms with reality at this moment in time.”
Earlier this year, Shaw was sidelined for nearly four months following a muscle injury in February.
After his recovery, he made a comeback in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on November 24 and managed two more substitute appearances before this latest blow.
As the club faces mounting challenges this season, Shaw’s absence adds to the team’s injury woes, leaving fans and teammates hopeful for his swift recovery.
