MAPOLY dissolves Students’ Union Executives following protest

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has dissolved the institution’s 2023/2024 Students’ Union Executive Council.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued on Tuesday by the institution’s Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Yemi Ajibola.
According to the statement, the decision to dissolve the council was reached during an emergency management meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
“The dissolution was as a result of the expiration of their tenure by effluxion of time, being currently in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session,” the statement read.
“Consequently, the 2023/ 2024 Union Executives is hereby dissolved. Hence, they should stop parading themselves as Students’ Union Executives of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.”
