Meet Oluwatobi Oyinlola: The Nigerian Tech Innovator behind World’s smallest GPS Tracker

Oluwatobi Oyinlola, the Nigerian tech genius recently celebrated for developing the world’s smallest GPS tracking device prototype, is no stranger to innovation.
The graduate student in Internet of Things and Embedded Computing Systems at the African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things has consistently distinguished himself in the tech space, both locally and internationally.
A Nigerian-born inventor and entrepreneur, Oyinlola serves as a software innovator and advisory board member at Intel.
His work also extends into the avionics sector, collaborating with rLoop Incorporated, a company committed to advancing the Hyperloop transportation concept originally proposed by tech billionaire, Elon Musk.
Beyond this latest achievement, Oyinlola is the brain behind the world’s first solar-powered workstation equipped with IoT technology for university students in Nigeria, a project that earned him widespread recognition.
His contributions to technology and youth empowerment earned him spots on the list of Most Influential Young Nigerians in both 2018 and 2019.
A proud graduate of Tai Solarin University, Oyinlola’s recent invention, a GPS device measuring just 22.93 X 11.92 millimetres, has been hailed by President Bola Tinubu and tech enthusiasts for its endless potential across industries and everyday applications.
