The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, revealed that President Bola Tinubu is expected to make a definitive decision regarding the new minimum wage by Thursday this week.

According to Idris, the President plans to hold discussions with organized labour on Thursday to finalize an amount that will be proposed to the National Assembly.

According to Idris, the Federal Executive Council deliberated on the national minimum wage and would invite the organised Labour for a meeting this week.

He said the President was not averse to increasing the national minimum wage but was being careful so as not to plunge the country into an unimaginable inflationary trend.
