‘My family was initially against our union’ – Regina Daniels speaks out

In a candid live session on social media, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels shared insights into her marriage journey with Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko.

Daniels addressed ongoing rumors suggesting that she was forced into the union due to Nwoko’s older age.

The actress revealed that her family, especially her mother, initially opposed her decision.

Daniels explained that while she had other suitors at the time, she ultimately chose to marry Nwoko, defying her family’s reservations.

Her openness about the challenges surrounding her marriage sheds light on her personal journey and the choices she made in her relationship.

The actress said, “I was going to visit my boyfriend, I was so angry, I was like mum, ‘Why do we all need to go visit and go sightseeing?’. But when we got there, we met a cute man. Moral of the story: Your boyfriend should not stop you from finding your husband.

“When I saw him with my husband, I forgot I was supposed to have a boyfriend. At that time, I had like 20 boyfriends. All serving different purposes. When people think I didn’t have a choice or my mum forced me, not knowing that my mum was against it. My full family said No, but one day, I am going to share our story”.
