Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not driven by greed but by a genuine desire to make Nigeria great again.

During a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and other traditional rulers at the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife, she spoke about her husband’s dedication to the nation’s progress.

Senator Tinubu’s visit was part of the commissioning of the 2.7km Oluremi Tinubu Way and Pavilion at Obafemi Awolowo University. She acknowledged the challenges brought by the removal of fuel subsidies but expressed optimism, stating, “With God on our side, in the next two years, Nigeria will be greater than this.”

Reflecting on their roles, she said, “We give glory to God for our status. Myself and my husband, we are not greedy, but we thank God for what He has done for us. It is not common for rich people to get to this seat, but I am grateful to God. We will not disappoint Nigeria, and with the help of God, we are getting to the promised land soon.”
