NECO releases 2024 SSCE External results, records 67.53% pass rate

The National Examination Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2024 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External.
Announcing this on Friday, NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, confirmed that candidates can now check their results on the NECO website using their registration numbers and exam details.
According to Wushishi, a total of 86,067 candidates sat for the examination, with 57,114 securing credits in both English Language and Mathematics, representing a 67.53% pass rate.
He also noted a 27.7% decline in examination malpractice, with 6,160 cases recorded, a significant improvement compared to 2023.
The 2024 results were released within 62 days after the final paper, marking an improvement in processing time by the examination body.
