New Accord Party leadership reinstates 26 suspended members

Prof. Chris Imumolen, the newly elected National Chairman of the Accord Party, has reinstated 26 members who were previously suspended or expelled.

The reinstatement was confirmed during an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on September 4, 2024, in Abuja.

The suspended members had been embroiled in controversies that affected the party’s operations. Among those reinstated were prominent figures such as Rev. Isaac Adebayo Adeniyi, Yaku Akintayo, Mogaji Igbinsola Paul, and several others.

This move follows a recent ruling by a Federal High Court in Abuja that upheld Prof. Imumolen as the recognized Chairman of the party. In light of the decision, the party has encouraged members who felt sidelined to present their grievances to the Conflict and Resolution Committee, headed by the National Secretary.

The party hopes that these steps will help reconcile internal conflicts and strengthen the Accord Party’s position moving forward.
