Premier League: Nicolas Jackson shines as Chelsea defeat West Ham 3-0

Chelsea secured a 3-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium, thanks to a stellar performance by Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson, who was trusted as the starting striker by manager Enzo Maresca, repaid that faith by scoring a first-half brace. Cole Palmer later added a third to wrap up the win, marking Chelsea’s third victory in five Premier League games under Maresca.

Jackson’s Impact

Despite calls for Christopher Nkunku to start after his match-winning performance against Bournemouth, Jackson proved his worth with two well-taken goals. His brace, alongside his growing tally of four goals in six games, has silenced early critics and showcased his ability to lead Chelsea’s attack.

Chelsea’s Dominance:

Chelsea dominated the match from the outset, with Jackson scoring the opener just four minutes in after a swift move down the right. He added a second goal in the 18th minute, finishing off a slick play involving Moises Caicedo. Palmer’s goal in the second half sealed a comprehensive win for Chelsea.

Challenges for West Ham:

West Ham struggled throughout, with poor defending and a lack of attacking threat. New manager Julen Lopetegui, under pressure following a poor start to the season, saw his side lose their third consecutive home game.

Despite efforts from players like Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, the Hammers couldn’t find a way past Chelsea’s defense.

Chelsea’s away form continues to impress, with three wins on the road this season, as they push for a top-four spot.

Meanwhile, West Ham’s poor form raises questions about their prospects under Lopetegui, with growing frustration from fans.
