Nigerian striker Paul Julius dies in car crash weeks after joining Cypriot side

In a tragic incident, 20-year-old Nigerian striker Paul Julius has passed away in a car crash, just weeks after signing with Cypriot football club Enosis Neon Paralimni FC (ENP).

The club confirmed the heartbreaking news, expressing deep sorrow in a statement: “It is with deep sadness and pain that we express our sincere condolences on the unexpected loss of our footballer Paul Julius.”

Julius had joined ENP only three weeks prior, with hopes of making a significant impact in Cypriot football.

His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the football community, with the President, Board of Directors, and employees of AEL Limassol, as well as several Greek teams, extending their deepest sympathies to his family and the ENP community.

The loss of Julius is a profound tragedy for his club and the broader football world, where he was seen as a promising young talent with great potential.
