Nollywood actress Belinda Effah officially joins US Navy

Nollywood actress Grace Bassey, formerly known as Belinda Effah, has achieved a significant personal milestone by officially joining the United States Navy and becoming a US citizen.

The 33-year-old film star shared the news on Instagram, revealing that she recently completed boot camp and is now a certified sailor in the US Navy.

Alongside the announcement, Bassey posted a photo of herself in full military uniform, beaming with pride.

In her heartfelt message, she expressed deep gratitude to God, her family, and her fans for their unwavering support throughout her journey.

She also dedicated the achievement to the memory of her late father, Naval Aide Bassey Effah, stating that this moment is a tribute to his legacy.

Her post reads , “Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States. Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. This is just the beginning. In Honor of my Late Father – Naval CDR Asido Bassey Effah”.

Notably, Grace Bassey is an award-winning actress, recognized for her talent, including the Most Promising Actress of the Year award at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
