Oba Otudeko ordered to appear for N30bn fraud trial in Lagos court

The Federal High Court in Lagos has directed businessman Oba Otudeko to enter a plea in response to charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke issued the order on Monday, ruling that Otudeko must take his plea before the court can entertain an application challenging its jurisdiction over the case.
The EFCC had previously filed a 13-count charge against Otudeko and three others, accusing them of involvement in a N30 billion loan fraud. The case continues as the court awaits Otudeko’s plea.
The judge subsequently adjourned the case to May 8.
