Former United States President Barack Obama has released his annual summer playlist, which highlights several African music stars.

This year, Nigerian artists Tems and Rema, alongside South African singer Tyla, are featured prominently.

Obama selected Tems’ “Love Me Jeje,” Rema’s “Yayo,” and Tyla’s “Jump,” featuring Gunna and Skillibeng, as his favorite African songs for the summer. Additionally, Nigerian-American country music star Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” tops Obama’s playlist.

Sharing the playlist via X on Monday, Obama wrote, “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”

The playlist featured songs from various artists across different genres and continents.
